Terry Lee Strebel Kilburn

March 23, 1949 — January 29, 2024

Terry Lee Strebel Kilburn passed away surrounded by immediate and extended family. For Terry, there were only family and more family. Terry was a supporter and continuous donor to Alzheimer’s causes, as she knew her own risk of Alzheimer’s was high.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, to James F.A. and Connie Rae Linderman Strebel. She married Robert J. Kilburn in 1966, they were later divorced.

She was a graduate of Bonneville High School. She worked at Sierra Lingerie, IRS, and Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), as a Management and Program Analyst, where she earned many accolades and awards. She was an active member in the National Defense Transportation Agency, where she traveled frequently to many corners of the world. She was a valued member of every team she joined throughout her career at HAFB. Following her retirement from HAFB she worked at KIHOMAC until her eventual retirement to enjoy her golden years.

While living in South Weber she became “Mom 2” to her additional children. She was a mom to all children in the neighborhood, serving as a Den Mother, softball coach, and PTA member. Terry loved to travel, and attend theater with her friends Deb Duke, Lynette Ferro, Kathy Rhoades, and other friends and family. She was a skilled painter, loved riding her ATV, and spending time with her many grandchildren. Her favorite place to be when she was away from her home was her family cabin in the Uintah mountains, built by her parents, family and friends.

Terry is survived by her two sons, James “Jim” R. Kilburn (Christy), Burke O. Kilburn (Penny); 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her neighborhood children, Heidi (Cody) Shaw, Nicole Nalder Black, Trent (Alisha Nalder) and Trever (Jenny) Nalder; her sister, Christy Strebel Stimpson (Mike); and many nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt T.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Deborah Lynn Strebel, Sherian Lavina Strebel Hartmann, and her grandson, Dakota Rae Kilburn.
