Terry Don Hurst

June 28, 1954 — July 16, 2024

Our dear kind and gentle husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend returned suddenly to his heavenly home, Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Terry was born June 28, 1954 and just celebrated his 70th birthday surrounded by his family, participating in his favorite sport bowling. He was born in Provo Utah to Helen Storey and Donald Howard Hurst. He graduated from Granger High School in 1972. During his life, Terry traveled to many countries and places. He was an Air Force brat and later enlisted in the Air Force himself. He was an Air Force fighter crew chief and fuel system mechanic working on F4’s and F-16’s. He also worked at Kennecott Copper Mine and drove semi trucks.

He married Lila Eastman on April 14, 1979 and had seven children. They later divorced. He then married the love of his life, Debbra Webster on June 27, 1998 and were sealed in the Bountiful Utah Temple February 27, 2002.

Terry loved drumming and was a member of the band-69th Cloud. He loved rock n roll and jazz music, dabbled in artistic painting, garden, playing games, eating and napping. He was a perfectionist and before he could do anything he had to have a vision and check everything multiple times. He always did things the hard way. Terry loved to talk (although he said he didn’t know how to have a conversation). He chatted with everyone he met. His greatest joy was his family. Terry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held various callings, his favorites being a Primary Teacher and an Ordinance Worker at the Bountiful and Layton Temples.

Survivors: spouse, Debbra, children, Linsey, Luke (Kira), Lacey, Louis (Charisse), and Lori. brothers, Ken (Holly), Gary (Jonette), Allen (Karen ), David, sisters, Gloria (Don), Katheryn, Bunny, and Tonya. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Terra and Trudy, sisters Judy and Mardrene.

Terry will be remembered by all for his sense of humor, friendly and kind personality, his dedication to God, Christ, and this great country.
