Terrence Lyle Williamson passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in Montpelier, ID, on January 15, 1943, to Lyle Young Williamson and Phyllis Constance Clark. Everyone privileged to know him considered him “a good man” for his service to his country, his family, and his community.
Early on, he showed an affinity for learning, earning his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Weber State University and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Terrence is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he ventured into the private sector, where he deepened his expertise and applied it to aeronautics.
He was a loyal husband to Judith Ann Maharg (deceased) and a loving father to Shawn Young Williamson (Brooke), Anne Marie Torres, Catherine Leilani Barrus (Brian), and Leslie Lehuanani Lilino (Layne). Although busy with a career to support his family, he always made time to help with schoolwork, attend events, and lend a hand around the house. In his golden years, Terrence especially enjoyed supporting and spoiling his eight grandsons and one granddaughter: Kalin Zeal, Clyn, Truman, Sam, Theodore, Joey, Levin, Kaimana, and Bryce.
Terrence was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and valiantly served in many callings throughout his life. He was an example of selfless service to others.
His children and grandchildren will truly miss him as he returns to join his wife of 49 years for all time and eternity. He was truly loved by all who were fortunate enough to be touched by his good works. With love, until we meet again.
