Terrence Lee Hanna

October 14, 1947 — January 22, 2024

North Salt Lake

Terrence Lee Hanna, born October 14, 1947, to Robert W. Hanna and Wanna Mae Moore, passed away peacefully at his home on January 22, 2024.  He was born with Spina Bifida and valiantly lived with its effects.  He loved the care he received over the years from the Shriners Hospital and Symbii Home Health.

He graduated from the U of U in communications and worked in radio using his love for news, music, and current events. Later he worked at Hill Air Force Base to provide for his family.

He married Barbara Noyes in 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced. They enjoyed the blessing of a beautiful daughter Linda Mae.

On June 14, 1980, Terry married his Montana Girl, Sally Fordham, in the Ogden Temple. They settled in North Salt Lake and built a cabin in his beloved Montana mountains.

Terry’s big love was family, church, family history, and having open houses that warmly welcomed family and friends into his home.  Becoming a Papa was a dream come true. He enjoyed anytime he could be with the grandsons. He got the biggest thrill out of giving people a hard time, while underneath grinning and enjoying the game. Terry loved to travel, fish, watch the Chicago Cubs, and learn of the cultures of the world - dragging Sally to his many dream places. He enjoyed learning about history, politics and geography. He had a strong testimony of his Savior and looked forward to asking the Savior many questions. He was a faithful priesthood holder and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Terry is survived by his wife Sally Hanna, his daughter Linda Mae (Ryan) Pilkington and precious grandsons R. Julian and Xander.  By his sister Jeri (Scott) Boyle of Lehi, and brothers Brad Hyden and Walter Bart (Kathy) Hyden of Ogden, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family members who have preceded him in death are his parents and Sister-in-law Debbie Hyden.
