Ted Martin Echols

Our dear father passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Payson, Arizona where he lived, and was cared for by his son Kent Echols. He is the son of Margaret and Bryan Echols and was born February 3, 1931. He married Janet Wain Hoggan September 29, 1950. Their marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 20, 1953. Janet passed away in April of 1978. He married Maurine Forbes Hardison in November of 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple. Maureen later passed away.

Dad loved to meet new friends, tell stories and talk on the phone. We will all miss his Aloha, hello''s and good-byes. Dad held many church positions, and callings. He loved his Heavenly Father. His family was his joy. We as a family are so grateful for the knowledge that we are a forever family. What a celebration there must have been when he ran with open arms to his heavenly family.

Our brother Kent and his sweet wife Louise have truly been earth angels to our father, and we as siblings are eternally grateful for all they have sacrificed for our dad.

We will surely miss the patriarch of our forever family.

All of us say to you dearest father, "Aloha."

Surviving are his children: Debbra Leggett (Doug), Jamestown, NM; Linda Williamson, Clearfield; Ted Echols, Murray; Kent Echols (Louise), Payson, AZ; Tricia Brown (Mark). The Hardison family, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also has brother''s Gene Echols (Penny), Murray; and Jim Echols (Uni), Tooele, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and family.

A celebration will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 4th Ward, 838 E. 600 So. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
