Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Tammi was born October 11, 1960. The first born to Margaret Evans and George (Red) Bousquet; and later adopted by John C. Francis.
Tammi grew up in Layton, Utah surrounded by extended family and friends. She attended Lincoln Elementary, North Layton Jr. High, and later graduated from Layton High School in 1978. She trained and then worked as a Dental Assistant for many years at Christensen Dental in Layton, Utah.
She met and married Dennis Tuke on February 23, 1979, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had 3 children together and later adopted 2 of their grandchildren.
Tammi was a wonderful seamstress and loved to make crafts! She enjoyed going to her card making group and was very good at making cards for any occasion. She also enjoyed camping, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Tammi had a way of making everyone feel welcome and wanted. She went out of her way to care for others and always put others’ needs in front of her own.
She had a deep love for the gospel and held many positions for the church over the years; and was the Service Assistant Coordinator for the Relief Society at the time of her passing.
In addition to her husband Dennis, Tammi is survived by her five children: Josh Tuke, Nathan Tuke, Crystal Hernandez (Israel), Rebecca Tuke, and Austin Tuke. Four grandchildren: Jordan Tuke, Kyler Hohlios (MaKayla), Colton Hernandez, Cambrielle Hernandez, five great-grandchildren: Athena Tuke, Eris King, Tanner Tuke, Tokala Tuke, and baby boy Hohlios on the way. Mother: Margaret E. Francis, Sister: Laurie Klink (Steve), Brother: Cody Francis (Shana), 22 nieces/nephews, 24 great nieces/nephews, and her beloved dogs Mia, Sophie, and Twinkles.
She was preceded in death by her by her birth father George (Red) Bousquet, adopted father John C. Francis, sister/brother-in-law Shellie Noon (Jim), brother Matt Francis, as well as in laws Duane C. Tuke (Marilyn), nephew Timothy Tuke, and brother-in-law Steven Tuke.
The family also expresses gratitude to the staff at the Layton IHC Hospital and Fairfield Village of Layton for all their loving and tender care of Tammi over the past 3 weeks.
The funeral service will be held Friday April 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
