Taft Emil Zachreson

He married Linda Zachreson on June 13, 1987. A resident and service member of many striking communities around the world.

Taft, 87, passed away suddenly after an unforeseen decline of health on Sunday, March 3, 2024. He had family by his side and his loving dog, Daisy. We all will miss him dearly.

Taft served his country as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He joined the service right out of high school and served 30 years. He had worldwide adventures, some included the Philippines, Hawaii, Europe, and many undisclosed locations. He wore his military career as a badge of honor.

He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, the ocean, and more specifically sailing. However, he was also known to be a homebody at times. He was an avid reader of many topics and was highly intelligent. In his later years you would find Taft enjoying westerns, tending to his dog, or spending time with friends and family.

A man who truly gave us a run for our money with his spirited and wanderlust attitude.

Taft is survived by his wife Linda, his children, Sheroldene and John, Barbara and Mark, Valerie and David, Tracy and Ray, Paula and William, Cornelius and Nikki, Jaime and Steve, Brenda and Sonny, Pete and Arlene; along with many grandkids and great-grandkids.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24^th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with the rosary at 6 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
