Sylvia Lee Harris

Sylvia Lee Harris passed away peacefully on January 7, 2012 at her home in Layton, Utah, following an extended illness. She was born April 28, 1941 in Davy, West Virginia.

She married Reed Stimpson Harris on April 27, 1984.

She was a member of the LDS Church. Sylvia, affectionately known as "Sissy," is also survived by her two brothers, Jerry Ray Nicholas and Larry Russell Gillespie, both currently residing in Florida. They mourn her loss but count themselves blessed to call her sister. Cherished memories include their times together (particularly her smile and hugs), the wonderful phone conversations across the miles, and her thoughtful cards.

Sylvia loved spring, fall and her dog Penny.

Sylvia is survived by her adoring husband, Reed Harris, Son, Mike (Brenda) Harris, Moab; daughter, RaNee (Jim) Hatch, Kaysville, five grandchildren, brothers, Jerry Ray (Lisa) Nicholas, and Larry Russell (Baby) Gillespie both of Florida.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
