Susie Lee Bell Strate, 68, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014.

She was born September 8, 1946 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, a daughter of Walter Lee and Nella Goodman Bell.

Susie was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. She was a long-time church volunteer for Journey to Bethlehem, Children’s Church, Women’s Bible Study and Angel Tree.

Susie is survived by her husband, Christopher Strate; three daughters, Sherry Tutt, Charity Strate Weaver, Christy Strate; three step-sons, Jeff (Amanda) Strate, Steve (Simone) Strate, Eric Strate; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy Bell Billings.

Private immediate family services will be held in her honor.
