Susan Louise Edwards, 64, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. She was born on August 9, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Jay Lloyd and Barbara Louise Jones. She graduated from Weber High School and attended Westminster College in Salt Lake where she acquired her Paralegal Certification.

She married Val Creamer on December 11, 1971 in Ogden. They later divorced.

She was the second female railroad engineer in the United States and worked for Southern Pacific for 11 years. After she retired from the railroad, Susan and her mom worked together in their own business for a few years, after that she became a Paralegal and worked for local attorneys.

Her dog, Lulu, was the light of her life. Susan loved to entertain her family and friends.

Susan will be remembered for her soft heart, kindness, and generosity.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Dustie-Jo “DJ” (Larry) Naito; son, Curt (Kim) Gibson; grandchild, Jordan Gibson; parents, Barbara (Paul) Edwards; and brothers, Chris Jones, Stacey Jones, and Jeff (Jackie) Jones. She was preceded in death by her father, Jay Jones; and grandmother, Josephine Hord.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
