Stephen M. Umiljenovich "Umo"

WEST VALLEY CITY a€" Stephen Michael Umiljenovich, "Umo" 63, died December 7, 2009 at his son''s home in Sandy.

He was born August 31, 1946 in Ogden, a son of Michael M. and LouJean Brown Umiljenovich.

Stephen served with the Utah National Guard.

Umo loved to tease his friends and family members. He made friends wherever he went and had a soft heart. He loved spending time in the outdoors, camping and fishing. Most of all, Umo enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking for them. He will be missed by all.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Michael Umiljenovich, Sandy; Brian, Cory, and Toby Loftus, all of Salt Lake City; Danielle Loftus, Rock Springs, WY; and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Brenda (Joe) Kane, Julie (Aaron) Huffman, Lisa (Jerry) Foster; and many special nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist''s Crematory.

Inurnment and Military Honors will take place at a later date.
