Stephen Eugene Ross passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, in North Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born to William Francis Ross and Linda May Ouellette on Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine.
Stephen's life journey took him across various locations, including Maine, Virginia, Germany, and ultimately to Utah, where he continued to live near his parents in Layton, Utah
Those who knew Stephen recognized him for his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. His kindness endeared him to friends and family alike, as he always sought to uplift those around him. Stephen was a huge sports fan and also loved the outdoors and had a passion for music and cherished the joy he found in attending concerts. He was also a devoted dog lover, and his three dogs brought immense happiness to his life.
Stephen is survived by his loving parents, William and Linda Ross. He was a proud father to his daughter, Michelle Chirdon, and loving grandfather to his two grandsons, Hudson and Harlan Herns. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mary Ross, along with a supportive network of aunts, uncles, James Ross (Doris), Gary Ouellette (Barbara), Priscilla Kennedy and numerous cousins. Also a little girl named Tori, who called him Grandpa.
As we remember Stephen Eugene Ross, let us celebrate his life and the countless ways he made a difference in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness and compassion will forever remain in our hearts.
His spirit is now free to soar with the eagles. A place where only beauty and happiness exist.
