Stephanie Kathryn Jorgensen

August 10, 1968 — January 15, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet Stephanie Kathryn Jorgensen, 55 of South Jordan, Utah. She peacefully passed away on January 15, 2024, due to complications from a brain aneurysm. She was born on August 10, 1968, to Dr. F Zane & Brooks Jessen in St Louis, Missouri. She was the oldest of five children.

Stephanie graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and was one of the few female Student Body Presidents at Weber State College. After serving as Student Body President, she was appointed to the Board of Regents and was instrumental in changing the name of Weber State College to Weber State University. She then furthered her studies with a law degree from Brigham Young University Law School.

Stephanie married Todd Jorgensen on August 8, 1991, in the Logan Utah Temple. They have five children, Ryan, Dallin, Tyler, Kathryn, and Sarah.

Stephanie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous callings. Stephanie always sought the Savior for refuge and respite during the trials she encountered. She always kept the faith and was an example to so many.

Stephanie was blessed with many gifts, talents, and aptitudes. She had an amazing aptitude for music and was an accomplished pianist. She always felt at home while playing. She was crowned Junior Miss and competed in the Miss Utah Pageant.  Stephanie excelled in everything she tried.  She also loved the game of Tennis.

Stephanie was a great blessing to those around her and she enjoyed many beautiful relationships with close friends, family, and associates. She was kind, strong and confident. She was a master at the art of makeup and always looked amazing. Stephanie was modest and humble but firm in the fight and we know she is enjoying the company of those family members that have gone before her. We know she is at peace and free from the trials that were hers while here on this earth. Towards the end of her life, she sought for miracles daily and hoped for health, healing and happiness and we know that she has now found that.

She was very proud of her five children and loved them unconditionally and we know that she is watching over them.

Stephanie is survived by her children, Ryan (26), Dallin (23), Tyler (20), Kathryn (19) and Sarah (17), She is also survived by her parents, Dr. F.
