Stephanie Lynn Galbraith

November 20, 1962 — December 22, 2025

Listen to Obituary

Our hearts were unprepared to say goodbye to our beautiful mother Stephanie Lynn Galbraith who died suddenly on December 22, 2025. She was only 63 years young. She left this world far too soon, leaving behind immeasurable love and an absence that can never truly be filled.

In 2023, Stephanie became critically ill after contracting a Legionella infection from a water source, which led to sepsis and significant lung complications. Though she fought hard and was believed to have recovered, her sudden passing came as a heartbreaking shock to those who loved her.

Stephanie was born on November 20, 1962, to Madeline and Gary McConnell. The eldest of four children, she grew up alongside her twin brothers, Mark and Matthew McConnell, and her sister, Gary McConnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister

In the summer of 1980, Stephanie married her high school sweetheart Kyle (Kelly) McKee. They welcomed their first born daughter Julie McKee (Miller), and 1.5years later they had their second daughter Crystal McKee. Though Stephanie and Kyle later parted ways, they remained great friends. Ten years later, the girls got the.greatest gift when Stephanie brought Ryan James Farnham into the world. When Ryan married Meagan, Stephanie was blessed with a bonus daughter and two beautiful grandchildren, Ares and Athena, whom she loved dearly.

It was evident to all who knew her that Stephanie’s children were her greatest joy and most cherished achievement. She never failed to remind them how incredible, unique, and beautiful they were. To say she was proud would be an understatement—her love for them was constant, vocal, and unmistakable. Through every challenge life brought, it was her calm, loving reassurance that steadied them. Her voice was the first they reached for in moments of uncertainty, and there is no doubt it will continue to echo in their hearts as she watches over them.

After graduating from Mountain View High School in El Monte, California, she later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from Weber State University. Stephanie built a meaningful career at Connexion Point, where she worked from 2014 until her passing, holding several roles and most recently serving as a Licensed Member Advocate for Medicare—a role that reflected her natural gift for helping and advocating for others.

Stephanie paid close attention to the little things, often surprising someone with a seemingly small gift that carried a much larger meaning. She truly saw people and made them feel cared for.

Shy by nature, she was also quick-witted, goofy, creative, and intelligent. Her laugh could fill a room. A helper and nurturer at heart, Stephanie was most fulfilled by caring for others—humans and animals alike. When a cat showed up on her doorstep one day, Patience seemed to know she had found her forever safe place. Though she continued to roam, Patience later brought her kitten, Brownie, to Stephanie, knowing her baby would be loved and safe, just as she had been.

Stephanie loved to read. Her bookshelves were filled with mysteries and romance novels, though her collection was once slightly reduced by a one-year-old Ryan, who delighted in pulling every book from the shelves one by one. Chew marks and ripped pages decorated the once pristine books. Don’t worry—she forgave him (we think).

In high school, Stephanie was a ‘pro’ tennis player (her words). In adulthood, she became so skilled at bowling that she felt it only right to purchase her own custom ball and shoes—again, her words. She could also be found picking up a video-game controller to play with her son, and she unknowingly sent persistent Facebook notifications to her daughter to send her lives in Bubble Witch.

She loved to cook and was a magician with spaghetti. She especially loved lobster—an irony not lost on the family, given that her firstborn daughter is allergic to shellfish. Surely her son would share in her love for surf and turf holiday meals… let’s just say she had to perfect the art of making a turkey or ham.

Stephanie’s quiet strength, devotion, resilience, and boundless love live on through her children and family. She will be remembered for her humor, her tenderness, her attentiveness, and her unwavering care for those in her orbit.
