Stella P. Sosa

CLEARFIELD a€" Stella P. Sosa, 71, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital. She was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on January 6, 1941 to Lee and Margaret Padilla. She married Fernando E. Sosa on July 14, 1957 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple in 1964. She was his "Hon" for 54 years.

She worked at the Department of Social Services as a Social Service Technician for 20 years. She loved doing genealogy and going to the temple. She enjoyed canning fruit and looked forward to spending time with her family.

Stella is survived by her husband, Fernando E. Sosa, Clearfield; sons, Bob Sosa, Clearfield; and Lee (Doncene) Sosa, Roy; daughters, Joanne (Randy) Romero and Marveda (David) Matthews, Clinton; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Garcia; and Lee (Madge) Padilla Jr., Ogden; and Julian Padilla, Arizona; sisters, Emma (Manuel) Gallegos and Linda Valdez, Clearfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Margaret Padilla; and brother, Frank Padilla.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
