Listen to Obituary

Stacey Nicole Reed (Petersen), born January 17, 1982, passed away on April 4, 2026, after a long and courageous struggle with health complications following an automobile accident in October 2024.

Stacey was born in Ogden, Utah and grew up in Clearfield and lived in Syracuse, Utah. She was fortunate to be close to her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, spending Sundays visiting and playing at grandma's house. She carried that sense of closeness and connection with her throughout her life, always cherishing time spent with those she loved most.

A creative and vibrant soul, Stacey found joy in artistic expression. She loved art and wrote poetry. She also loved dancing and singing and spent her childhood putting on shows with her friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent camping in Blacksmith Fork Canyon, where she felt at peace in nature, and at home playing games and laughing with her family.

Above all else, Stacey’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her three beloved children, Madisyn, Mersadies, and Cash, and grandchild Eleanor, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her parents, Joseph D. Petersen and S. Karlene Petersen (Orton), and her siblings: Joseph C. Petersen, Ashley M. Love (Petersen), Brianne Petersen, and Ryan M. Petersen.

Stacey will be remembered for her creativity, her warmth, and the deep love she had for her family. She will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
