Sinforosa Aurelia Quintana

Sinforosa Aurelia Quintana passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on December 30, 2022.

Sinforosa was born in Los Rositas, New Mexico on June 25, 1927, to Miquel Cordova and Juanita Cardenas Cordova. They lived in Raton, New Mexico. Later, she met and married Robert Joseph Quintana in Rocksprings, Wyoming on May 23, 1948.

They then moved to Layton, Utah.

Sinforosa was very involved in many organizations throughout her lifetime including, the Brownies and the Girl Scouts. She has been an active member of the St. Rose of Lima Church, and served as an Eucharistic Minister, an advocate for the new St. Rose location, a lecturer for Cursillos, and much, much more.

Sinforosa enjoyed painting, collecting rocks & shells, sewing, singing, dancing, taking music classes, and anything outdoors.

Sinforosa was preceded in death by Robert J. Quintana, Tishe Marie Quintana, Bellard Garcia, Ron Conford, Michael Quintana, Ryan Carpenter, Angela Wyatt, Loni Camille Quintana. She is survived by Gilbert Cordova, Rosie Carson, Dave Carpenter, Jackie Conford, Roberta Garcia, Frank Quintana, Lizzy Tolle (Arlan Tolle), Louise Quintana, Cecilia Wyatt (Doc Wyatt), and Larry Quintana (Christina Manteno).

A viewing with a Rosary will be held 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, UT 84041.

Interment will take place at the Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT. The pallbearers will be, Frank Quintana, Larry Quintana, Troy Garcia, Joey Velasquez, Rolando Velasquez, Raul Quintana, and Codey Quintana.
