Shivaun Pulley Hoover 1952 - 2012

Shivaun Pulley Hoover, 59, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Sandy, Utah.

She was born on April 23, 1952 in San Jose, California, the daughter of Boyd Horace and Beth Paxman Pulley. Shivaun spent her childhood and youth in Los Gatos, CA where she graduated from Los Gatos High School. She attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and filled a mission for the church in Cordoba, Argentina.

Shivaun enjoyed various church callings throughout her life, including many using her musical talents. She was employed in various aspects of the insurance industry, mostly as a claims specialist, while she lived and worked in California, Louisiana, North Carolina, Virginia and Utah.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Marie Hoover. In 1981 Shivaun married Gary Harris, Michelle''s father, in the Oakland Temple. She was later sealed for time and eternity in 1988 to Randolph W. Hoover in the Oakland Temple. Also surviving are her brothers, Douglas B. Pulley, MD (Katherine) and Bryant M. Pulley (Carolyn).

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Crescent 30th Ward Chapel, 89 E. 11000 S. Sandy, Utah. Friends may visit family from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment Farmington City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
