Shirl Christensen

LAYTON a€" Shirl Christensen, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his home.

He was born January 20, 1928 the son of Ethel Jane Sorensen and Francis Albert Christensen.

Shirl married Wanda Mae Hill on October 20, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shirl served in World War II and was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his wife, children: Susan (Richard) Morrison, Tacoma, WA; Rick (Mary), Syracuse; Margie (James) Dall, West Jordan; Bonnie (Paul) Workman, Las Vegas, NV; David (Claudia), Layton; and Laura (Doug) Reeder, McKinney, TX; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a sister Lila Smith, Spanish Fork, UT.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clair Christensen.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
