Shauna Lee Oglesby

Shauna Lee Oglesby, 72, our beloved mother, left us Wednesday, November 8, 2017 to join her mother and father in Heaven. She was a dedicated civil servant for Hill Air Force Base for 33 years before she retired in 2002. She graduated from Weber High School in 1964 and completed some college courses through Weber State University.

She was THE greatest mother to her children, Lee Rollin Oglesby and Sherralee Oglesby. They were the three musketeers, always together. She loved to watch football and enjoyed her favorite television shows as well as spending time with her kids and her dog Sox. She was a happy, sarcastic and fun loving woman to be around. You couldn’t help but smile at her when you saw her. She was so easy to talk to; before you knew it you had told her your life story. One of her many great joys was talking to her sister every night before they went to bed. She truly cherished their relationship and friendship.

She is survived by her two children, Lee and Sherr; daughter-in-law, Veronica Taylor; and her grandson, Brody. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Lawanna Wright, and her three brothers: Roger Hall, Jay Hall and Lewis Hall.

Shauna was preceded in death by her loving mother, Nellie Stoddard Hall Wakely, and her father, Olie E. Hall.

The family will receive close family and friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the mortuary.

The reception will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Emanuel Church of God and Christ, 2778 Wall Ave, Ogden.

Interment, November 21, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park., 4500 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, Lee and Sherr would appreciate the consideration of donations for a grave marker for their mom.
