Shaun Scott Salmon

Shaun Scott Salmon, age 54, of South Weber, UT, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on November 18, 1970, in Milk River, Alberta to Cherilyn (Dale) Jorgensen and Glen Salmon.

Shaun studied at Rick’s College (BYU-I), and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Lewis and Clark College of Idaho. He worked for 26 years at Ogden Regional Medical Center, serving his community as an OR nurse and making many lifelong friends. Shaun enjoyed spending his time at the lake wakeboarding and wake surfing, playing hockey in his men’s league, golfing, cheering on and watching his favorite hockey teams, playing his guitar, and attending any and all concerts he could fit into his schedule. No matter what he was doing or where he was going he was with his wife Cheryl, who was the other pea from his pod. He and Cheryl spent many happy years together going on adventures and raising their four children, Draven (Madison) Salmon, Leslie (Scott) Wheeler, Curtis (JJ) Roberts, and Nolan Salmon, and he had recently celebrated the birth of his first grandchild.

He is also survived by siblings, Shane (Gretta) Salmon, Jesse (Erin) Salmon, Britney (Tannor) Hieta, and Brianna Salmon; as well as his many nieces and nephews. Shaun lived life to the fullest and was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, son, hockey coach, and friend to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
