Sharon Kay Price

Sharon Kay Price, loving daughter, sister, aunt and grandma, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007. She fought numerous health problems for more than half of her life, yet she never complained. She had strength beyond belief and after the most courageous battle of her life she succumbed to her injuries from a massive stroke and fall.

Sharon was born November 15, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Jack G. and Dena (Opheikens) Price.

She graduated from Bonneville High School. She also graduated from Weber State College while perfecting a highly respected and totally dedicated job at Hill Air Force Base. After 38 years she retired as a contracting officer.

Sharon finished raising the children of her deceased sister, Della. She became "Mooka" (Grandma) to the nieces babies. Her pride and joy was raising "her son", Pepper. He had been Della''s small dog. In earlier years she played softball, golf and was on the ski patrol. She loved the Utah Jazz. She enjoyed quiet lunches at the Greenery or noisy buffets with the family. Sharon had an amazing yet surprisingly uncanny sense of humor, considering her professionalism. It was difficult to know when she was serious or joking. She was generous, expecting nothing in return.

Sharon is survived by her mother; sisters, Diana L. Price, South Weber; E. Annette Ansley, Roy; Judy A. Schatz, West Haven; brother, Jack R. Price, Washington Terrace; three grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Della Huddle, grandparents, and special little Pepper.

The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd Floor at McKay-Dee Hospital and Aspen Care Center for all of the informative, kind, and comforting care, not only for Sharon, but also her family.

Sharon would like to especially thank her mom, sisters and niece, Tammy, nephew, Marty for being at her side with love and tender care as she made her journey home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Height''s Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
