Sharon Anderson Foust, a loving wife, proud mother, spunky grandmother and great-grandmother, and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in Roy, Utah, surrounded by her family.
Born in Lyman, Wyoming in 1946, Sharon lived a full, vibrant life fueled by deep love, big laughter, and a personality that was both playful and strong. On October 20, 1966, she married her sweetheart, Bruce Franklin Foust. They raised six children together, built a busy and love-filled home, and shared nearly 48 years of marriage before Bruce passed in 2014. His memory stayed with her—carried in her heart every single day.
Sharon was the proud mom of Bruce Foust II (Kimberly), Bartly Foust (Lisa), Monica Lincecum (Christopher), Brandon Foust (Kimberly), Chalayne Schaffner (Harv), and Amber Bowles.
She had 17 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids, and enough inside jokes with each of them to fill volumes.
Sharon spent many years in Liberty, Utah, before moving to Roy. No matter where she lived, her home was full of warmth, comfort, and something homemade—be it a quilt, a scrapbook, or a hot meal.
She touched countless lives through her work, beginning in the early 1980s as a respected manager and leader at McDonald’s, where she worked for over 20 years. Later she brought that same energy and compassion to Einstein Bros. Bagels before retiring. She was a force—firm but fair, deeply caring, and genuinely invested in the lives of her employees and customers. And at one point, she followed a dream and opened her own restaurant with her best friend, proving that courage doesn’t retire.
Sharon was the kind of woman who cherished soul-deep memories and celebrated every laugh. She shared wisdom in quiet, powerful ways, and had a calming presence when things felt out of control. She had a great essence about her—something you could feel when she walked into a room. She could go from belting out Coming to America with her grandkids to sitting in peaceful reflection with someone who just needed to be heard.
She was spunky and playful, and she absolutely loved to have fun. She’d stir up a little chaos and then command silence with just a look—usually while trying not to laugh. She knew how to be serious when it counted, and how to laugh when it mattered even more.
In her later years, Sharon shared some of life’s sweetest chapters with her sister and best friend, Deb. Over the past ten years, the two of them went on unforgettable adventures—big and small. In her final years, Deb also became Sharon’s caregiver, and the time they spent together was a true gift. The family is deeply grateful they had that laughter-filled, soul-nurturing time together.
Faith, family, and fun were the cornerstones of Sharon’s life. She loved deeply, gave generously, forgave freely, and never stopped learning or growing. She lived her life with grace, grit, and a lot of heart.
She is survived by her six children, 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her mother-in-law Sarah Ann Foust-Jensen, and a long list of extended family and friends who adored her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruce, and many loved ones who are no doubt welcoming her home with joy.
