Shanna Ranae Hoffman Bingham, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Born September 24, 1944, in Ogden, Utah, to Ken and Vera Hoffman, Shanna’s life was one of faith, service, and deep love for her family and friends.
Shanna leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Cindy (Ron); daughter, Michelle Rhoads (and Jim); and son, Jon Bingham (and Hollie). Her legacy continues through her 14 treasured grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy; as well as her brothers, Dennis, Mike, Rick, and David Hoffman; and sisters, Susan and Marilee Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ronald L. Bingham Sr; her cherished son, Ronald L. Bingham, Jr.; her parents, Ken and Vera Hoffman; and siblings, Linda and Merrill.
On January 14, 1966, Shanna married the love of her life, Ronald L. Bingham, in the Los Angeles, California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, love, and service.
A faithful member of the Church, Shanna joyfully served in many callings, including Relief Society President, Young Womens President, and temple worker, among others. Her devotion to her Savior and to those around her was unwavering. She often reminded her loved ones of her guiding principles: “You’ll never regret being kind” and “It’s not what you say, but how you say it.”
Shanna’s greatest joys in life were her family and her friends, whom she cherished with all her heart. She taught her children and grandchildren the value of hard work, deep love, and kindness toward others. To know Shanna was to feel her love, and her influence will continue to bless the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
At her passing, Shanna was lovingly welcomed by her eternal companion, Ronald L. Bingham; and their beloved son, Ronald L. Bingham Jr. She was overjoyed to be reunited with them and to be in the presence of her Savior, whom she served so faithfully throughout her life. The reunion she longed for has finally come, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is surrounded by love, peace, and joy.
Though her passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of many, her family finds strength in her example and peace in the knowledge that she is exactly where she wants to be.
Mom’s life was a living testimony of faith, love, and devotion. She will be deeply missed, but her light will forever guide her family and friends.
