Shane McClellan

October 18, 1970 — April 11, 2022

Layton

Shane McClellan passed away on April 11, 2022 at the age of 51 after his battle with serious medical issues, however fought with courage through his wit and laughter. Despite the pain, Shane came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Shane was born to Mike and Pamela McClellan on October 18 of 1970.  He grew up in Orem, Utah loving the outdoors, sports, and drawing.  He graduated from Orem High in 1988 and went on to complete his degree in graphic design where he worked in advertising as a graphic designer in both Arizona and Utah.

His family and friends knew him as someone who always had the right thing to say, his long, entertaining stories (even if they were wildly inappropriate) and the most fun person at any party. He loved a good game of cribbage and poker and could beat anyone who challenged him.

He is survived by his loving wife Megan and his proudest accomplishments Jessie, Jaida, Scott, and Jorja, stepson Rippey, his mother Pamela Lohrke, (Alan), sister Leisha Greer (B.J.), and nieces and nephews (Kennedy, Parker, Addison, Kameryn, and Jackson) who dubbed Shane as their favorite Uncle.

He is preceded by his grandparents and his dad Mike.

At Shane’s request, no formal services will be held.  Please join us for a luncheon for family and friends held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 , 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church located at 3290 North 1050 East in Layton, Utah.

He was never one for sentiment or tears so please remember Shane with a smile.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
