Our beloved husband, father, Pop, brother, uncle, and friend, Scott E Call, age 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 13, 2023.

Scott was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 5th, 1961, to Marion Fay Cargeeg and Jackie Lee Call. He graduated from Layton High School in 1979. While in attendance, he played several sports, and excelled at them all. Because of this, he earned the nickname "Bad Motha." Directly after high school, Scott joined and served in the Air Force Reserves for 6.5 years where he met many lifelong friends.

On July 4th, 1989, he married his bride, Karen, and instantly gained a son, two daughters, and a family that continues to grow to this day, which was the very most important thing in his life.

For years, Scott worked in the construction industry as a carpenter. In 1998, he went to trade school and earned his general contractor license. In 1999, he established Scott Call Construction Incorporated, where he took pride in his incredible carpentry work. In 2002, he hired his nephew, Brady Call, and through this relationship, they became like father and son.

Scott was a devoted family man and an avid sports fan, especially for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He brainwashed each and every one of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to be a Steelers fan, and we will carry on his legacy forever. His favorite thing was spending time with his family. He loved having everybody over for Sunday football, cooking on the grill, camping with his family, and constantly teasing the grandkids. Our Pop always made sure everybody felt welcomed and loved. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Call; his sister, LeAnn Wiseman; and grandson-in-law, Corrie Bright.

He is survived by his bride, Karen Call; children, Steve (Dina) Adams, Polli (Cee) Barnes, and Chariti Moss (Brian Harmer); as well as six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Bruce (Melanie) Call, Keith (Diane) Call, and Linda Moss; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West in Syracuse, Utah. The funeral services will follow at 11:00am. A luncheon will be held from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the American Legion 134, 345 Depot Street in Clearfield, Utah.

To honor Scott's (Pop's) memory, we encourage all those who attend the services to wear their favorite sports team attire or casual dress.

The family would like to thank Dr. Justin Mansfield, MD at Tanner Clinic in Layton, Utah, and the wonderful staff at Inspiration Hospice for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, you can donate via Venmo (@Chariti-Moss) or any America First Credit Union or Golden West Credit Union in the name of Karen and Scott Call.
