Listen to Obituary

Sandy, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and closest friends. Born on April 18, 1966, to Annabell Samora and Manuel Martinez, Sandy grew up cherishing her roots and later made her home in Utah, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim; her father, Manuel; her sisters, Michelle (Marshall) and Shelly (Chris); her three children, Alexis (Eddie), Payton (Raymond), and Jordan (Ari); and her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Reese, Remi, Zeza, and Raven.

From her earliest days, Sandy embraced the role of a caring big sister. Some of her fondest memories were spent tending the garden alongside her beloved grandpa. A true social butterfly, she had a gift for connecting with everyone she met—never passing a stranger without a warm word or smile. This warmth, combined with her boundless generosity, built lifelong friendships and ensured no one ever left her presence empty-handed.

Sandy was an unwavering supporter of her children’s dreams, always finding creative ways to make things work. She was the epitome of love in every role she held: the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend. She often reflected that motherhood, though one of the hardest jobs she ever had, was also the most rewarding.

Her legacy is one of profound kindness, compassion, patience, and forgiveness. Sandy’s enormous heart extended especially to animals, teaching those around her valuable lessons in empathy and care. Above all, she was a fighter—resilient, witty, and quick with a laugh. If you knew Sandy, you knew joy; her humor and bright spirit lit up every room.

A remarkable woman whose presence will be deeply missed, Sandy leaves behind a powerful example of how to live with an open heart and unwavering love.
