Sandra was raised in Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from Box Elder High in 1959. She raised her children in Willard, Utah where she lived for many years and was hostess to many family parties. Sandra enjoyed family, friends, shopping, playing cards, cooking, quilting, sewing, traveling, cruises, and any kind of gathering where there were people. After her retirement from the Forest Service, she was part owner of North Pointe Theater in North Ogden. She then retired and worked for Handi Trans, this is where she met the love of her life, Dan. They loved to spend time together, traveling, and doing volunteer work with the VFW Post 1481 including volunteering at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. She loved to serve others. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa where she was the chairman for the Brigham City Peach Queen pageant for many years. She also loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice. She sang with the Box Elder Symphonic Choir for many years.

Sandra is survived by her children, Leisa Carlson and Carolyn (Jeff) Hollingsworth; four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Susan) Sheffield, Shauna Walton, Mike (Sue) Sheffield, and Jeanie Peck; and many nieces and nephews.
