Sandra Hope George Kennedy

Sandra Hope George Kennedy, 86, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born on February 19, 1937 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Harry Nicholas and Ellen Edna Stallings George.  She was raised and spent her entire life in the Ogden area, attending Ogden High School.

She married Glen Ivan Kennedy on November 4, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. Glen and Sandra enjoyed 59 years together until Glen’s passing on March 26, 2013.

Sandra was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including in the Primary Presidency, a Primary teacher, visiting teacher, and librarian.

She enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league for years, playing cards at McDonalds with many friends, board games, and doing puzzles with her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her, she lived every day for them.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Blaine) Longfellow; three sons, Rick, Mark (Gayle), and Todd (Lisa); 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Judy Bell and sister-in-law, Patricia George. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents, Harry and Edna; brother, Paul; two sisters, Delores and Sharon; and grandchild, Keith Snow.

The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice nurses and staff, especially Jennifer, Laurie, and Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Burch Creek 4^th Ward, 4955 Adams Avenue, South Ogden, UT 84403. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Service entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
