Russell O'Connell

Russ was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. His story began December 30, 1958 In Merced, California born to Fredrick and Peggy O'Connell, he was the middle of three brothers.

He loved spending time hunting for gold, studying gems and rocks but most of all loved being with his family,  he was extremely close to his niece Heather who Russ and her were nearly inseparable and nephew Chase and had a special bond with his great nieces and nephews.

Russ meet his true love Maureen Oaks on January 27, 2001 and then married her November 23, 2010 and had two wonderful step-daughters, Tina (Colby) Christiansen, Tara (Greg) Lambert, as well as grandchildren.

His story came to a unexpected end June 6, 2019.

He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He was the most loving and kind hearted soul one could meet.

He is survived by his mother Peggy O’Connell, brothers, Michael and Patrick O'Connell, wife, Maureen Oakes, niece Heather (Ray) Gallegos, nephews, Mikey O'Connell, Chase (Arie) O'Connell, Sean O’Connell, great nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Russell’s life will be held at Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 4 p.m. at 2602 N. 1050 W. Clinton, Utah.
