Russell Travis Bird

Russell Travis Bird, 51, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born on March 14, 1972, in Murray, Utah, the son of Steven Gerald and Patricia Anne Miller Bird. He grew up in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School.

He worked as a machinist for Bonnell Aluminum.

Russell married DeJon L. Kiesz on September 4, 1993 in Morgan, Utah.

He loved the roses in his garden and his family. His family meant everything to him. He really liked to spring a dad joke on anyone.

Russell is survived by his wife, DeJon; sons, Ian Bird and Nicholas (Julia Ann) Biggs; daughter, Bree Anne (Louie) Anderson; mother, Patricia Bird; brother, Steven (Brenda); and sisters, Tammi Dillree and Michele (Adam) Hunt. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven and brother-in-law, Clay Dillree.

A celebration of Russell’s life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 880 28^th Street, Ogden.
