KAYSVILLE - Our beloved father, Rulon A. King, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. Rulon was born May 1, 1925 in Layton, UT to William F. and Salome Adams King. He married Iva Lu Beecher, the love of his life, on December 6, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of five children.
A life-long resident of Kaysville, Rulon was a dairy farmer and was actively involved in the agricultural community. He was President of the Davis County Farm Bureau and Director for Cache Valley Cheese. He was an avid horseman and took great pride in owning and raising good horses. He was active in the LDS Shepard Ward and served with his wife Iva Lu as temple workers in the Bountiful Temple. He treasured his family heritage and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Rulon is survived by three sons: Vance (Kim) King, Brian (Andrea) King, Brett (Jann) King; two daughters: Kay Lynn (David) Arnell, Tricia (Eric) Burbidge; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Afton (LaVar) Adams. Preceded in death by his wife Iva Lu and two brothers, Vance and Dale.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Shepard Chapel, 1955 S. 350 E., Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N., Main and Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
