Rudy Richard Gurulé

Our dear husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend passed away on the morning of October 29, 2025. Rudy was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 18, 1949. He served in the U. S. Navy and worked many years at the U. S. Post Office before retiring.

He married the love of his life, Maria De Jesus Rodriguez, on February 20, 1971. They got married at the old Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah.

He enjoyed spending his time gardening and relaxing by his koi pond. He loved the many family get togethers in his backyard, with all of the beautiful flowers he and his wife had planted over the years.

He is survived by his children; Angel Gurulé, Nina Gurulé, and Michael Gurulé; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Joe (Kathleen) Gurulé; brothers in law Ruben Rodriguez, Javier (Katrina) Rodriguez; sisters in law Rosa (Rick) Lettig, and Viola Gurulé.

Rudy was preceded in death by his wife Maria Gurulé; his parents Filberto and Aneda Gurulé, his siblings; Lupita (Adolf) Leon and Jerry Gurulé.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses who have taken care of him over the last few years. We appreciate him being in such great care.

He will be rejoined with his wife, whom he missed dearly since her passing.

Per Rudy’s request there will be no viewing or funeral service.
