With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Rosa Guadalupe Zeitun Borjas on April 3, 2026, in Layton, Utah. Born on July 28, 1943, in Comayaguela, Honduras, Rosa's life was a testament to devotion, faith, and the enduring bonds of family.
Rosa was a cherished member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where her dedication shone brightly through her active service. As a devoted Temple preparation instructor, Seminary and Institute teacher, Stake Relief Society President, and an ordinance worker at the Bountiful Temple, she touched countless lives and guided many with unwavering love and wisdom. Her commitment to spiritual growth and community upliftment was one of her greatest legacies.
An accomplished scholar, Rosa earned a master’s degree in economics, demonstrating her lifelong pursuit of knowledge and excellence. Yet, beyond her academic achievements, it was her nurturing spirit and steadfast faith that truly defined her character.
Rosa’s loving heart was reflected in her close relationships with her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Raul Elias Zeitun and Guadalupe Genoveva Bonjas, her sister Linda, and her grandson David. Their memory was a guiding light throughout her life and remains a cherished part of her story.
She leaves behind four devoted sisters: Cristiana, Eliana, Gladys, and Lilian, who shared in the richness of her journey. Her legacy also continues through her five children: Offad, Rosa, Zulay, Ronald, Xotchilth, and Oman, each blessed by her enduring love and guidance. Rosa’s spirit lives on vibrantly in her ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy and pride of her later years.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday April 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family prior to services from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton.
Rosa Guadalupe Zeitun Borjas’s journey was marked by faith, resilience, and a profound commitment to those she loved. Her gentle presence, tireless service, and warm embrace will be deeply missed, but forever treasured. May her memory inspire kindness and strength in the hearts of all who knew her.
