Ronald Lee Norris

March 11, 1937 — July 19, 2025

Ronald Lee Norris of Renton Washington completed his earthly journey peacefully at home, on July 19 th , 2025, to be reunited with his eternal companion, Jaqueline K Norris. At age 88, Ronald left the world the way he lived it-in peace and calm. He was known for his calm demeanor and his simple views of life. When it was baseball season, he couldn’t help being enthusiastic about his Boston Red Sox team. He loved his A-1 steak sauce, burnt almond fudge ice cream and his favorite meat pie “with lots of gravy and pepper”.

As a father he had 5 children, whom he loved and supported. His children, Kathy (Cevin)Carr, Jeff (Christine)Norris, Debbie (Mike) Rasciner, Melanie (Tom) Cameron, and the youngest, David, loved him very much. He was grandpa to 20 wonderful grandchildren, and he was great grandpa to 15 children.

Ron was born in Green River, Wyoming March 11, 1937, to Benjamin and Bertha M Norris. He was the youngest in his family of 4 children. His brother Daryl, sister Shirley, and brother Keith, all preceded him in death along with his parents. Now, reunited with his loving family, the celebration in heaven no doubt is a glorious one.

He served faithfully a mission to Paris, France as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived the gospel of Christ with love and served diligently all his years. He was married and sealed to his bride, Jackie in the Logan Temple Aug 10, 1962. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a business degree. He worked for over 40 years in various capacities. His longest position--and favorite--was working for Ben Bridge Jewelers in their credit department in downtown Seattle, Washington. Everyone who knew Ron, loved him and knew he was a man of integrity. Ron will be greatly missed by many.

In loving memory, we honor a great man who lived his life with love and care towards all he knew. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all have a legacy to honor as they continue to live and serve the way our Dad lived.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Renton Highlands LDS Chapel, 816 Field Ave, NE Renton, WA 98059. Friends by visit family on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00. Thank you to his caring LDS ward congregation for their years of service towards both dad and mom. Dad received so much love and care from his youngest child and son, David Norris. David lived with dad and cared for him daily with tender care.

We thank the hospital staff at Overlake and Evergreen Home Health and Hospice, church members and his family. Thank you to his care givers who took care of him in his last months and for Flintoft’s Funeral home, Issaquah Washington and Lindquist Mortuary, Ogden, Utah.
