Robin K Simpson

LAYTON - Beloved by her family and those who knew her Robin K Simpson, 56, returned to her father in heaven Wednesday December 12, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital from complications of lung cancer.

Robin was born in Ogden to Vadie Gene Starks and Barbara Jean Johnson on April 6, 1956. She went to Ben Lomond High and graduated in 1974. She married Fred Omura, Jr. in 1977 and had one son Fred III, they later divorced. She met her soul mate Read Simpson in 1985 and married in 1989. They had two boys, Christopher and Zachary. She worked for Autoliv for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, camping, fishing and trips to Wendover. Through her five month battle with cancer she kept a positive attitude and always believed she would beat it.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents Vadie and Barbara and father-in-law Theron Simpson

Robin is survived by her husband Read; siblings, Sandra Albertson, Vadie Starks Jr., Chauncey Starks, Annetta K Torres, Cindy Lou Day, Diana Donkin, Shawna Starks, Nannetta (Mike) Petersen; children, Fred (Emily) Omura, Christopher (Kira) Simpson, and Zachary (Chelsea) Simpson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Layton Chapel Hills Ward, 1290 N. Church St., Layton, UT. Friends may visit family on Wednesday December 19, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
