Robert Wright Parrish, age 78, passed away in Layton, Utah on April 7, 2026, He was born August 7, 1947, in Ogden, Utah to Robert Wright and Pearl Wright Parrish. He spent his entire life in Layton, Utah, graduating from David High School in 1965.
Bob enjoyed a great life with his partner of 30 years Maddy (Madelyn Christensen) and their K-9 kids.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Bob often stated that he was a proud member of the Church of What’s Happening and was even a self-appointed minister of that religion. Bob did enjoy his association with the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Ogden and the clergy members there.
He was an inventor and held the patent for the decorative curbing machine. He was the owner operator of Decorative Curbing Machines for several decades. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Layton City for several years.
Bob was an avid skier serving on the Ski Patrol at Snowbasin Ski Resort. He also loved waterskiing and golfing with his buddies.
If you knew Bob, you knew a friend with a wonderful sense of humor. He was always funny and loved to tell a good joke. When you think of Bob, please have a good laugh.
He is survived by the love of his life Maddy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
A visitation will be held Sunday April 19, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
