Listen to Obituary

Robert Dee Weight, 53, passed away on March 26, 2026, in Murray, Utah—on his birthday. He was born on March 26, 1973.

Robert graduated from Layton High School and spent much of his life in Davis County, Utah, where he built a life full of memories, relationships, and moments that will never be forgotten.

Robert was a hardworking and determined man who built his life through perseverance. He worked as a mechanic before later becoming an electrician, putting himself through school and pushing forward against all odds. His resilience and drive spoke to the strength he carried within him and his desire to build a life for himself and those he loved.

In 2002, he married Heather Burkett-Meints, and together they built a life and welcomed three children: Skyler Weight, Chloee Weight, and Jaxson Weight. Through these relationships, he created a family that will carry his memory forward.

He is survived by his children: Alexus Meints, Skyler Weight, Chloee Weight, and Jaxson Weight, who loved him deeply and will carry his memory with them always. His presence in their lives helped shape who they are, and that impact will never fade.

He is also survived by his siblings, Nadine (Gary) Runchel, Kathy Young, and David (Janet) Weight, who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and a bond that will never be broken.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janean Boulter; his grandmother, Jean Weight; his grandfather, Devere Weight; and his sisters, Shar Weight and Jeanie Boulter.

Robert was known for his goofy, larger-than-life personality and his ability to make people laugh, even in the hardest moments. He had a way of bringing energy into a room that couldn’t be ignored. He loved rap music and would light up any space dancing like he was in his own music video—completely himself and making sure everyone around him was smiling and always having a good time. He also had a passion for riding bullet bikes, chasing the thrill of speed and living life boldly and freely.

The news of his passing has left his family heartbroken and in shock. The loss feels sudden, heavy, and incredibly difficult to process. There are so many emotions that come with losing someone who was such a big and complicated part of your life, and the pain of it all is hard to put into words.

Though life wasn’t always perfect, the memories, laughter, and moments he gave to those who loved him will never be taken away. He was a father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and he mattered deeply. He was part of our story, and he will always remain a part of us.

He will be missed more than words can ever express and remembered in the laughter he brought, the energy he carried, and the moments that made him unforgettable. His life, his story, and his impact will live on through all who knew and loved him.

Dad, we love you. We will carry you with us always, and we will never forget you.

In lieu of flowers there is an account at America First under Alexus Meints or Skyler Weight to help will funeral costs and his children’s future. We also have a Venmo or Cashapp set up if that is easier.
