Robert “Bob” James Greer passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2026, after a short battle with cancer, while holding the hands of his wife and sister. Born on January 19, 1957, to William James and Evelyn Olofson Wall Greer. Bob lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, craftsmanship, and the deep connections he built with family and friends.

Bob attended Bonneville High School, where he proudly served as the president of the parking lot crew – a title that perfectly matched his rebellious streak, quick wit, and ability to gather people around him wherever he went. Later, he pursued what would become a lifelong passion – working on vehicles and motorcycles. He owned and operated a local body shop, where he became known for his skill, dedication, and love for bringing machines back to life.

Never one to shy away from hard work or adventure, Bob later spent time working on oil rigs in Wyoming and Alaska and eventually became a welder and continued to build a reputation as someone who took pride in his work and the people around him. Even after retiring a few years ago, he stayed busy doing what he loved most – building motorcycles, spending time in coffee shops with friends, and surrounding himself with the people who made life meaningful.

In 1986, Bob married the love of his life, Berla Colleen Greer. Together, they shared nearly 40 years of marriage, partnership, and unwavering support.

Bob is survived by his wife, Colleen; his beloved dogs, Tucker and Sassy; his children, Cristal Jae, Lynetta (Nettie) Jo, Lori (Ben) Spears, and James (Thúy) Spears; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his siblings, Terrie (Ted) Doman and Randy (Merna) Greer; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends and members of his shop family who became family in every sense of the word. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Cindy Greer.

Bob will be remembered for his strong hands, quick wit, and the way he could make lifelong friends wherever he went. Whether he was welding steel, rebuilding a motorcycle, or sharing stories over coffee, he left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
