Robert Lee “Bigfoot” Proudfit III, world traveler, entrepreneur and grandfather extraordinaire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at age 78.
Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Proudfit, Jr. and Helen Proudfit.
Bob was a graduate of Ogden High School and a member of the National Guard. He worked as an air traffic controller for over 30 years for both for the FAA and internationally in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
Bob loved to travel. He spent many years going around the world and most often to Thailand…to escape Utah winters.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Keidra Proudfit and Kamdin (David) Saxton; grandson, David Saxton; and his two brothers, Matt (Holly) Proudfit and Doug (Linda) Proudfit as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John, and his parents.
Bob’s family and friends will gather at a later date and time to celebrate the unique life of the man they called “Bigfoot”.
