Rick Monroe Frazier, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by family.
Rick was born on June 6, 1954, in Coalville, Utah to Ray T. Frazier and Jeanette Franson. Rick was all boy; he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Athletic at an early age, Rick had a passion for football, first at Bonneville High School and later in his collegiate career.
Rick served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bristol South West Mission. His time in England and Wales gave Rick a deep love for the people and culture of the area and deepened his testimony of Jesus Christ. Rick was a gifted teacher, and many benefited from his future seminary and Gospel Doctrine lessons.
Shortly after returning home, Rick met his eternal sweetheart, Lorrie Howell. They were married and sealed on June 11, 1976, in the Ogden Temple. They were blessed with three children, Miranda, T Jay, and Courtney.
Rick began his career in law enforcement and firefighting. After moving to Modesto, California, he opened an investment management business. He returned to Utah and began a long career at McKay Dee in security and transportation. Rick valued his relationships with those he worked with and took pride in protecting and serving others.
Rick and Lorrie loved opening their home to others, calling it “The Frazier Inn”. Over the years foreign exchange students, international hockey players, medical resident physicians, and friends were welcomed and loved.
When Rick became your friend, you had a friend for life, and his loyalty to others enabled him to serve and share the Savior’s love in many ways. His gift for genuine connection shone in every interaction—from cashiers to neighbors to those he worked with. Rick’s gift for deep and meaningful conversation blessed more than he knew.
Rick is survived by his wife, Lorrie; his three children, Miranda Rizzi (Zach), T Jay Frazier (Jordan), and Courtney Bryson (Kyle); his ten beloved grandchildren; and his sisters, Raelene Barrows (Paul) and Lanet Nelson (Keith).
His family would like to thank all of Rick’s friends and extended family for their support and love. They would also like to thank the staff at McKay Dee Hospital and the University of Utah Donor Program for the compassionate care they provided.
