The Thornock-Hunt family lost our husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend and keeper of all wisdom on Monday, February 27, 2012 to a prolonged illness. He was surrounded by love when he passed away. He was born on October 24, 1940 to Ralph B. and Norma Anderson Thornock. He grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. He retired after 32 years of service from Wonder Bread Bakery.

On August 15, 1960, he married Catherine Viola Nielsen. They later divorced. Their children are: Rodney Blaine, Devin Lee, Cathy Michele (Jeff) Machuca, Daylane Thornock (Cliff Modahl), and Norleen Thornock; and Robyn (Mark) Lowther an extended daughter.

In April of 1981, he married the love of his life and best friend of 32 years Linda Hunt who brought into his life a son Curtis (Angie) Hunt and Cindy Hunt who he grew to love and have an extraordinary friendship with. Blaine was a little league baseball, football and AYSO coach as well as an active participant in Jr. Posse while his children were growing up.

Blaine loved the outdoors, fishing at Flaming Gorge with family and friends, and trying to bag a bigger deer than his wife.

He was a good honest man that one could learn many of life''s lessons from if you were willing to work hard and listen to his wisdom. He will be greatly missed.

Blaine was survived by his wife, Linda; children; and 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Thornock; and sister, Sandra Summers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Devin Thornock

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the West Warren Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Seong and Justin of Alpine Home Care for their dedicated care of Blaine.
