Richard Regullano Fardy passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 40. Born in Olongapo, Philippines, Richard was the son of Thomas Frances Fardy and Melita Cerdon Regullano. He was raised on Whidbey Island, Washington, and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 2003. Before beginning his career in the military, Richard spent several years working as a landscaper.

In 2011, Richard enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Munitions System Specialist. His service took him around the world, with assignments at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aviano Air Base, Italy, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, and Hill Air Force Base, Utah, with TDYs to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Łask Air Base, Poland, and a deployment to Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti. Notably, no matter where his career took him, Richard took great care to roast and prank airmen anywhere and everywhere he went.

To be the target of Richard's wit was a true mark of his affection. He held a rare gift for transforming mundane situations into memorable events. He delighted in awkward and absurd humor, creating unexpected moments and leaving a trail of startled laughter in his wake.

Of all his roles, Richard was most defined by his love for his family. He married Kathryn Magnuson in 2006, and together they welcomed four children: Rowan, Nikolai, Isaiah, and Zoe. In 2017, he married Kimiyo Lindley, and together they raised Ryoji, Kaiji, and Yukiko.

Richard was immensely proud of all of his children, holding immeasurable love for each of them. As a father, Richard had a magical way of connecting with his children, using his goofy and silly spirit to completely step into their world of play. He would dive headfirst into wrestling matches or seamlessly join their games of make-believe. He matched their imagination and chaos perfectly.

He was a best friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard will be remembered for his humor, his strength, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to the lives of others.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
