Reo Thomas Waddoups

February 5, 1941 — June 6, 2025

Reo Thomas Waddoups passed away on June 6, 2025. He was born February 5, 1941 to Thomas and Lorena Waddoups in Garland City, Utah, Box Elder County. He graduated from Box Elder High School. He attended Weber College and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science. He served in the Army Reserves for six years.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base in Utah as a Civilian Civil Service worker from June 5, 1965 to March 3, 1998 as Supervisor of Maintenance cost of Accounting from August 25, 1985 to March 3, 1998. His employees really liked Reo a lot and thought he was fair with everyone. He retired when his job went to San Bernadino, California.

He married RaNae Walters they were sealed in the Temple. Together they had five children and later divorced.. Reo loved his children very much and was so very proud of each and every one of them. He often told people about them and how they raised children of their own. He married Kathryn Bedsaul and they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple.

Reo helped Kathy take care of her two handicapped sister which they love Reo and he loved them very much. Reo had a heart of gold.

He loved his dogs (Labs) Moriah Mocha and Shimmer Aspen Patch which died in 2016 and he was so heart broken. He then decided to get two other Labs, Whispering Willow and Little Darling Tia, they would give Reo a real bad time but he loved them no matter what.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as the High Priest Group Leader. He took the Boy Scouts on their weekend outings, which I know he enjoyed as much as the boys did. He loved helping people in the ward and always went the extra mile to help everyone.

Reo loved working in the yard and making it look nice. He loved gardening. His greatest passion was going fishing and hunting. He like going up Logan Canyon, fishing with friends and family. Which he really enjoyed. He like going up the Grey’s River with his brother , wife, family and nephews.

He always looked forward to going hunting with his buddy Scott, he also went with his cousin Clint. It didn’t matter to Reo if he got anything or not. He enjoyed being in the mountain. He was happier being in the mountains smelling the pine trees and sitting around a campfire with friends and family telling stories and cracking open peanuts.

He liked playing cards (Rummy) and playing different kinds of Monopoly games. It was a challenge to see who would win and, in the end, it didn’t matter, it was such having fun. He loved watching old TV shows, westerns, war shows but of course he had to have a bowl of popcorn. He liked watching the oldies and goodies as he would call it.
