Reed C. Wiggill
LAYTON a" Reed Wiggill, age 71, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 returning to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and parents. Reed was born July 21, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Stanford and Florence May Cook Wiggill.
Reed graduated from Davis High School. He was a member of LDS Church. He served an LDS mission to Medesto, California. Reed had a beautiful voice. While on his mission his companion was always asked to talk and Reed was always asked to sing.
Reed was a genuine outdoorsman. Over the years he managed several Sunset Sporting Goods stores. He had also worked as a salesman for Action Saddle. When Reed was not selling sporting goods, he could be found hunting, riding horses or adding to his gun collection. He enjoyed watching the Jazz and old western movies.
Reed is survived by his brother Vern C. (Loretta) Wiggill and four nieces and nephews, Steven, Janet, Annette and Larry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Colleen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
Reed struggled with many health issues during the last few years of his life, and his family would like to thank all those who helped in any way for their loving care.
