Rebecca Lee Egnew Wagstaff Messerly

July 17, 1945~December 9, 2021

Rebecca Lee Egnew Wagstaff Messerly….aka…Becky, passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2021.  Becky was born is St George Utah to Christopher and Geraldine Egnew on July 17, 1945. She enjoyed and cherished growing up in Centerville, UT with her seven siblings and lifelong friends. She learned how to serve, work hard, and play even harder.  Becky was born with her sense of humor and developed her strength and character throughout her life and always faced her trials head on.   Becky loved family, traveling and traditions and she made this the best part of life.

Besides being the best mom, she outdid herself by being the best Grandma to her favorite granddaughter Isabell.

Becky is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in her many callings faithfully and strengthened her testimony.  Her love for life and her Savior were real!  She taught us how to embrace all that life threw at us with a sense of humor, trusting in our Savior and doing our best.

Becky is survived by her son, Bill, her daughter, Kami and her favorite granddaughter, Isabell. Her brothers and sisters, Barbara (Earl) Eastman, Christine (Paul) Moser, Ed (Marva), Larry (Sandy), Renee (Doug) Tingey and Laureen (Maurice) Canchola, and too many to name favorite nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is our dad, Ben Lesley Wagstaff and stepdad, Rick Messerly, her father, Christopher E. Egnew, mother, Geraldine Seegmiller, brother, Gary, stepson, Jason Messerly, and her sweet baby boy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Weber North Stake Center,  4100 W. 900 S., Ogden .  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. and from 9:30-10:45 am on Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service.  Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
