Raymond “Jack” J. Jacklin, Jr. WASHINGTON TERRACE – Raymond “Jack” John Jacklin, Jr., passed away Monday, September 17, 2007 at Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, following a long illness. He was born July 3, 1929 in American Fork, Utah, the son of Raymond John and Anna Vera Olsen Jacklin. Ray married Genevieve E. Dickey on July 17, 1950 in Orem, Utah. They were sealed December 2, 1989 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married for 57 years. Ray attended schools in American Fork graduating from American Fork High School. He enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Texas. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a semi-driver, retiring after 37 years of service. He then worked for Bank of Utah for 10 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Washington Terrace 5th Ward where he was a High Priest and served as High Priest Secretary. He also worked with the Boy Scouts. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling with his family. After he married he earned his pilot license and loved flying small planes. Surviving are his wife of Washington Terrace; two daughters, Melanie Cordes, Florida; Karen (Blair) Hardman, Clearfield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Justin Hardman, Sheena Hardman, Tiesha Thomas, Scott Thomas, Kaleb Thomas, Hailey Thomas and Patrick Thomas. Preceding him in death were his son, Kevin Ray Jacklin and his parents. His family would like to express their thanks to Heritage Park Care Center for the special care he received. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 5th Ward Chapel, 350 West 5100 South, with Bishop Wayne Funk officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded.
