Ray Fred Kelly
Ray Fred Kelly, 62, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 of liver failure. He was born July 6, 1949 to Earl LeRoy and Dorothy Blaylock Kelly.
He was born in Delta, Utah and moved to Phoenix, AZ when he was three years old. He attended college at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. He married Deborah Lynn Wilson on January 27, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to Casa Grande, where they started their family. They had two sons, Mark and Stewart. In 1983, the family moved to North Ogden where they still reside today. In 1990, Ray and Debbie opened, and still operate, the Diamond K. Co.
Ray spent many hours being frustrated on the golf course. He enjoyed skiing, hunting fishing and team roping.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Mark (Christy) of North Ogden and Stewart (Tina) of Ogden; five grandchildren; mother in law, Sybil Wilson of Casa Grande, Arizona; brother, Owen (Shirley) Kelly of Maricopa, Arizona; sister, Patty (Mike) Sheehan of Phoenix, Arizona; and two sisters-in-law, Linda (Larry) Fitch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Peggy Day of Mesa, Arizona.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Jerrie Kelly, and brother, Dee Kelly.
A Celebration of Life Serivice will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ben Lomond Golf Course, 1800 North Highway 89. A service is to follow on December 30, 2011 in Casa Grande, Arizona. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
