Phillip R DeMaria

Phillip R DeMaria passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, at McKay Dee Hospital. 

Phil is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly and children, Daniel (Chandra) DeMaria, Katherine (Gary) DeFisher, and Karen (Lance) Beardsworth. 

He is known as “Papa” to his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Stephanie, Alyssa, Tyler, and MaKayla, and great-grandson, Ryker, and as “Unk Phil” to his nieces, Karen (Craig) MacVittie of Buffalo, NY and Louise Dickens of Maine. 

Phil dedicated his life’s work to emergency cardiac care through many years of service with Eastern Maine Medical Center, The American Heart Association, and after retirement, continuing to teach Basic Life Support to healthcare workers. 

His family will hold a celebration of his life at Abrahms Pond in Eastbrook Maine.
