Perry Leon Killpack, age 86, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Aug. 23, 2025, in Layton, Utah. He was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Merlin Leo and Eva Call Killpack. Leon was married to his beloved sweetheart Winnie Rita Madsen Killpack in the Salt Lake Temple on May 11, 1960, for time and all eternity.
Leon was a faithfully member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he loved his savior, Jesus Christ. He loved his family and cherished every minute he had with them. Another love of Leon’s was hunting; he especially loved the bow hunt.
Leon is survived by his wife Winnie Killpack, son Darrell Killpack, daughter, Kathy (Michael) Ratcliffe, son, Scott Killpack, daughter, Dianna (David) Wheelwright, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Eva Killpack, his in-laws, Kurt and Erna Madsen and his first daughter, Jennifer Killpack.
A graveside service will be held Thursday August 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends and family may visit Thursday from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah prior to the graveside.
